Sterling Steel Buildings is dedicated to help our customers save money and get a better steel building in the proceess. Sterling Steel Buildings was founded by Randy DeVaney whose patent pending OPEN WEB frame structural design is a major innovation for the Steel Building industry.

Randy DeVaney Bio
Over the last 30 years Randy DeVaney has prepared himself for the design, manufacturing and sales of Sterling Steel buildings.

Starting in 1983 Randy sold steel buildings for three different companies. In 1985 US Truss hired Randy to sell. His sales technique was so successful that he began training all the new salesmen and retraining some already in the company.

From 1987-1988 Randy was promoted to National Sales Director for US Truss. He streamlined the technique of existing dealers and trained the new. Randy’s training and supervision resulted in an 8 million dollar increase in sales volume.

Randy left the steel building industry to cowboy. Selling steel buildings was not Randy’s passion, working with horses and designing new products for the horse industry was. Over the years Randy designed, with patents pending, 4 different products. A portable hydraulic horse walker, a hydrating system for horse’s legs, an automatic watering system for horse trailers and a lift system for the top of horse trailers.

In 2007 Randy re-entered the industry signed up to be a dealer with Sentinel Steel Buildings out of Albion Nebraska. When the price of steel went up 25% Randy thought it was time to present his building design to an engineer. The engineer said that it would work and work very well.

With Randy's knowledge of production and sales of Steel building and mind to design, Sterling Steel is the beginning of a whole new breed of building.
